I've heard comments like, "I love that piece, but the colors aren't right for where I would put it" or "...the mood isn't right for the room". Ideally, an art buyer will want an artwork enough to shell out cash based solely on the merits of that work and not on if the colors are right for the space. But, we don't live in an ideal world. So, that is one reason I have started producing series of art pieces originating from a single photograph or similar photographs but with different colors and styles to appeal to buyers looking for specific colors or a mood to fit the room.
